Automatic installation: A web browser such as Internet Explorer will automatically prompt you to install the appropriate fonts upon entering a Japanese or Korean page. Click on the 'Install' button in the dialogue box (shown on the right) and accept the defaults in subsequent boxes. The download should not take much time. Finally, click 'OK' at the end. The Japanese or Korean characters should display immediately.

installation: It is also possible to install language packs manually.
Unfortunately, exact instructions for this cannot be given because the
details vary according to which version of which operating system you
are using. However, from the 'Start' menu, go into 'Control Panel' and
select 'Regional and language options'. This may be combined with 'Date
and time' on some computers. You will be able to select the appropriate
language from the dialogue box, then click on 'Apply' to download the
language pack.
