The nature of the church is reflected in our pattern of worship. Normally, the Anglican and Methodist liturgies alternate week by week, with a preacher from the other tradition. Our team of clergy is occasionally supported by visiting preachers from the Methodist Circuit and the Anglican Deanery.

Please see What's on for announcements of special services.

Heslington Church issues a prayer leaflet to all members of the congregation to guide their daily prayers towards the local community and the people who feature in it. You may obtain another copy here.

Communion to those who are housebound
Once a month, a trained member of the congregation takes the Eucharist to those who are unable, for whatever reason, to get to Church. Some who receive, like to see a new face each month; others prefer to have the same person call upon them. It is always a delight to be able to share, and there is always a warm welcome. It is good to hear their news, their joys and their concerns, and to share with them the news of the Church and the parish.
